Made to order · ships in 3–10 days from our Vancouver, BC workshop.

A two-vessel electric brewing system that handles your entire process from grain to finished beer — dedicated mash tun, jacketed Unitank fermenter, no transfers between vessels, no overhead lifting.

The Unitank does the cold-side work: boil, chill, ferment, pressure-condition, then keg under pressure. The mash tun handles the hot side: heat strike water, mash, sparge. One pump moves wort between the two. Standard tri-clamp fittings throughout — every part is replaceable from any homebrew shop.

Pick 5G for kitchen batches on a 120V outlet, 10G for the homebrew sweet spot, or 20G to brew at a pace that matters. Hand-built in Vancouver, BC.

Base or Complete?

Base ships with everything you need to brew + ferment — vessels, element, controller, pump, full tri-clamp hardware, tap-water cooling. Complete adds the five accessories most BräuPro owners buy in the first six months. Buying the kit saves $200 versus picking these up individually later.

Step 2 — Wort knockdown

How will you cool wort to pitch temp?

A counterflow chiller is required for the cold side — without one, you can't move from boil to fermentation. The Unitank jacket is for fermentation cooling, not knockdown.

Step 3 — Fermentation cooling

How will you hold fermentation temp?

Glycol cools the jacket only — it holds the fermenting beer at setpoint, it does not knock down boiled wort. That's the counterflow's job (above). Tap-water cooling always ships with a 5 psi PRV.

Optional — stand

Add a brew table?

Welded stainless table sized to your mash tun, with the pump and plumbing mounted underneath. Matched automatically to the size you picked above.

How BräuPro works

Two vessels. One complete process.

A dedicated mash tun and a jacketed conical Unitank work in tandem. Wort recirculates through the mash bed, drains to the Unitank for boil, chills through the jacket, and ferments in place. No lifting. No transfers. No second fermenter to clean.

Step 1

Heat strike water

The Unitank's element heats strike water to your target mash temperature. Acts as your HLT — no third vessel.

Step 2

Mash

Pump draws wort from the Unitank and delivers it over the top of the grain bed in the mash tun. Continuous recirculation for even, repeatable conversion.

Step 3 · optional

Lauter & sparge

Wort drains from the mash tun to the Unitank through the sloped bottom drain. Sparge with the optional arm or skip it — your call.

Step 4

Boil

The Unitank's element brings wort to a rolling boil — sanitizing the vessel completely before fermentation. No chemical sanitizer required.

Step 5

Chill

Cool through the jacket using tap water or glycol — or pass through the counterflow chiller for rapid knockdown to pitch temperature.

Step 6

Ferment & package

Dump trub through the conical. Pitch yeast. Glycol jacket holds fermentation temperature precisely. Transfer to keg under pressure via the included transfer line.

Awesome customer service

We are scaling up our kombucha brewery to meet demand. The Unibrau Pro is perfect for a small startup. The equipment is commercial grade, customizable, and support has been amazing. Steven worked with me via a video call to set our system up specifically for kombucha. What a great company!

Extremely versatile choice for a pilot system in a small brewery startup

Homebrew background, small brewery startup, space is very, very tight. I was enticed by the novel, compact 2-vessel design, a little nervous of the investment, impressed with the pro quality as a pilot system, and continually grateful of the versatility of the hardware around the brewery.
I bought this 30g system while waiting for my 5BBL brewhouse to arrive, with the intent to get some pilot batches going for recipe development. This arrived, but I had a lot of work to do on the brewery, so I've only brewed on it a few times so far. In my case, for those few times this was a perfect system to transition from homebrew to pro-brew as it really is a small pro-brew setup. The value of the kit really showed with an abundance of valves, clamps, ferules, pumps, custom fittings, piping, the vessels, all of which I have used and needed for my larger brewhouse as well. The 30g mash tun has become a wort grant/hop back, when not used for running a caustic loop cleaning a vessel. The panel came with the functionality of controlling additional fermentation vessels, which was a consideration...but this morning I'm nervously shopping for a yeast brink, and realized that I already have one, a jacketed one at that! Go ahead and get a quote for a 1BBL jacketed yeast brink, and you will realize this system will easily pay for itself for a small brewery.
Thanks Steven for putting this well-though-out package together as a quality small pro-brew setup. It is absolutely all that and hardware continues to play an invaluable around my brewery.

Impressions of Unibrau Pro V2 Brew System

This complete brewing system is very well thought out. Comes with everything you need from mashing in to filling a korny keg. Components are top notch and finishes are mirror bright where needed (inside fermenter). I'm finishing fermenting my first batch now. It's in a cold shop so I'm using the heater (set at 5%) to cycle on and off occasionally to control fermentation temperature. It works great. I'm sure cooling using the included gear will work well too. I'll really end up with a glycol chiller since I don't have a source of water near my electrical connection.

A couple of things to note. I was making a 10 gallon finished beer batch (2 corny kegs) so I HAD 10.5 gallons in the fermenter to account for trub in the cone while I rack the beer. I used the anti siphon air lock. Worked well for first day or so. Checked on the second day and there was true, foam and wort all over as the airlock exploded off the fermenter. Switched to a blow off tube (it would be nice if a tri clamp fitting with a hose barb was included for this purpose) and the problem was solved. One additional comment is that even though I have cold water (mid 40s I'd guess), it takes quite awhile to cool 10.5 gallons of wort from boiling to yeast pitching temperature, especially if you're used to a high efficiency counterflow heat exchanger. On the other hand, there's no risk of plugging. One note is that I used a BIAB bag (The Brew Bag) in the mash tung. Probably not needed, but I like to mill my grain quite fine for good utilization and the suits on the mash plate seem kind of big to me. Maybe it's just a holdover from my days of plugging counterflow exchangers. Finally the included hop basket has a pretty coarse mesh. I switched out during the first hop addition to one I have with finer mesh. Again, probably just old brew technique habit since there really is nothing to plug up on this system.

Delivery took quite awhile, but as Steven pointed out it's a big order and the supply chain is pretty messed up right now.

Steven even took time out on a Saturday to call me and clarify a few things when I was assembling the gear.

Common questions

About BräuPro Homebrewing.

How is BräuPro different from the Unibräu All-In?+

BräuPro is a two-vessel system — dedicated DrainPro mash tun + jacketed conical Unitank fermenter. The Unibräu All-In is a single-vessel system — one kettle that does everything. BräuPro gives you proper mash architecture, dedicated fermenter geometry, and the ability to brew the next batch while the current one ferments (with a second Unitank). Unibräu All-In is the smaller footprint and lower entry price.

Which size should I buy?+

5G (3–6 gal finished) for small-batch experimentation, NEIPAs in tight spaces, or 120V-only locations. 10G (5–10 gal finished) for standard 5-gallon batches with headroom — needs 240V for full 5,500W element. 20G (10–20 gal finished) for larger batches, taprooms, or pilot capacity. All three share the same architecture and accessories.

Do I need glycol or is tap water enough?+

Honest answer: depends on where you live and the time of year. Tap water works for ales at 60–70°F when your cold-tap supply runs colder than your set point — that's usually fine in winter and across northern climates year-round. The challenge is summer: in warmer regions tap water often runs 67°F+, which makes holding even an ale tough. Glycol is required for lagers, cold conditioning, and reliable summer ale fermentation in southern / warm climates. You can start with tap water and add the MCED BEF-02 glycol chiller later — the jacket fittings don't change.

What's the difference between Base and Complete?+

Base ships with everything needed to brew + ferment — mash tun, jacketed Unitank fermenter, heating element, controller, brew pump, full tri-clamp hardware, and tap-water cooling. + Complete System Kit adds the five accessories most BräuPro owners buy in the first six months: spunding valve (natural carbonation + pressure transfer), carbonation stone + 6" TC spool (in-vessel CO₂ stone that mounts to the butterfly valve), steam condenser (brew indoors with no exhaust hood), HopDrop (oxygen-free dry hopping under pressure), and a CIP spray ball (closed-loop sanitation). Buying the kit saves $200 versus buying these accessories individually later.

Can I brew the next batch while one is fermenting?+

Not in the same Unitank — the fermenter is occupied. Most serious BräuPro owners add a second Unitank fermenter in the same size so the brewhouse stays free. Same fittings, same controller, same workflow — just one extra vessel for parallel fermentation.

What ships, and when?+

Ships from our Vancouver, BC workshop. Most orders out in 3–10 days. We palletize for international freight; you'll get tracking and a delivery appointment.

What's the warranty?+

2-year warranty on the vessel, every weld and TC port, and on the controller and pump where they're included.

Heating element: 2 years against defects. Not covered: dry-firing (running the element without liquid covering it), and heat or melt damage at the twist-lock plug from a loose or improper connection — a proper, fully seated connection has to be maintained.

Temperature probe: 6 months — it's a consumable. Gaskets, clamps and O-rings are consumables too; replacements for all of these are in stock and cheap.

Lifetime parts support on everything we build — serviced, not replaced.
