Unibräu Grain Basket

A stainless steel grain basket that turns a single kettle into a complete mash, lauter and boil vessel. Drop it into a DrainPro Boil Kettle or a Unibräu Tri-Clad kettle of the same size and brew all-in-one, with the grain bed held in the basket and the wort recirculating around it.

Available in 10G, 20G and 30G. Choose the size that matches your kettle.

How it works

Mash in the basket inside the kettle. Pump wort from the kettle drain back over the top of the grain bed through the basket's 1.5" Tri-Clamp port. The wort filters through the grain and the false bottom, giving clear wort and an even mash temperature throughout the bed.

When the mash is done, lift the basket, let it drain, sparge, and boil in the same kettle. One vessel handles mash, lauter and boil, so there is less equipment to set up, move and clean.

Built for recirculation

The basket is 304 stainless steel with a laser-cut false bottom sized for efficient lautering and clean recirculation. Because the basket sits submerged in the kettle, the grain bed is supported by the surrounding wort rather than resting its full weight on the false bottom, which keeps the bed open and the flow steady.

The 1.5" Tri-Clamp port on the basket connects your recirculation or sparge line directly to the top of the grain bed.

Lifting and handling

The 10G basket includes a stainless retention ring and screws.

The 20G and 30G baskets include hoist lugs for lifting heavier grain bills with a hoist or pulley.

Match the basket size to the kettle size. The basket is not designed for the DrainPro Mash Tun, which has its own built-in false bottom, or for the DrainPro Hot Liquor Tank.
