  • 120V Element Upgrade Kit

    Wattage
    Description

Upgrade your brewing experience with the Unibräu Element Upgrade Kit, designed to reduce your brew time significantly. This kit seamlessly integrates an additional 1650W element into your Unibräu system, enhancing the efficiency of your brewing process.

    Key Features:

Faster Brew Day: Halve your mash and boil time by adding the 1650W ultra-low watt density stainless steel element to your Unibräu system.

Easy Installation: The kit includes all necessary hardware for a quick and straightforward installation into your kettle. Simply move the temperature probe to the tee on the discharge end of the pump due to the modular design.

Safety First: Plug the element kit into a separate GFCI receptacle on a different circuit to prevent tripping the breaker. If using an extension cord, a 12-gauge cord is recommended.

    What's Included in the Kit:

1650W ultra-low watt density stainless steel element

    6' Nema 15-5 14-gauge power cord with a matching twist-lock plug

    1.5" Tri-Clover compatible 304 stainless tee

Quantity 3: 304 stainless steel Tri-Clover compatible clamps and silicone gaskets

More Info: The 1650W upgrade kit is an excellent addition to the 120V system for a faster brew day. It operates manually, acting as a "booster" to reach mash-in temperature and boil quickly. Remember to unplug the extra element manually when mashing and boiling, as the standard 1650W element in the Unibräu system is sufficient for maintaining temperatures, including the boil.

Explore the Unibräu advantage and accelerate your brew day with precision control – upgrade with confidence!

    All in kit upgrades

Been using the all in one kit for a year now. This is a great add on to help heat up my mash and boil faster. My all in one kit has been amaxing in producing great quality beer.

Simple addition which makes a huge difference.

I think this is kinda necessary if you're on a 120V setup, but you really want to use two circuits. Very easy to use, very simple to set up.

    The Essential Upgrade

Overall, it took me a while to get used to the overall system and not have any problems. Now with two very successful brews (one BIAB and one sparging), this extra element (used it with sparging) made temperature changes extremely easy.

The major drawback in general with 120V is the current limitation, and not everyone is able to get 240V to solve that issue. This element lets you do that, but you do have to be careful to not let it overshoot.

Works great, super easy and a great upgrade

While maybe not necessary, the added element speeds up every step of the process from initial strike water heat up to getting things up to a boil. Way easier than installing a 240V outlet, just run a good extension cord from another circuit and you're good to go. The 'T' connection alone is also great, you can add temperature monitoring at different points depending on where you install, such as put it on the wort exit of your plate chiller to monitor how well you are cooling and then adjust flow accordingly. I'm considering using it for inline O2 as well.
