Add a pump for each fermenter.
The reservoir ships without pumps. Add one 1/3 HP, 75 GPH pump kit for each fermenter you want at its own temperature, up to 10. You can add more later.
A bigger bath. More pumps. Optional redundancy.
A BEF chiller on its own has a 17-gallon bath and takes up to 4 pumps, one per fermenter. When you scale past that (more fermenters than pumps, more BTU than one chiller can handle, or a backup chiller) the BFT-67 is the platform you set that BEF chiller on.
Bigger thermal mass = stable cooling
4× more buffering than integrated bath67 gallons of glycol versus 17 is roughly 4× the thermal mass. Shorter compressor cycles and a steadier supply temperature when several fermenters cold crash at once.
Reservoir absorbs demand spikesScale pumps + chillers independently
Up to 10 pump zones · 2 chiller decksEach pump runs independently — one fermenter zone gets its own flow rate, alarm, on/off cycle. Add pumps over time as your fermenter count grows. Add a second chiller deck for redundancy or to double your BTU output. Mix models (BEF-100 + BEF-300).
Up to 10 pump zonesPair with any BEF-04 or larger.
The BFT-67 is the upgrade path for the entire BEF line above the Compact tier. NOT compatible with BEF-02 / BEF-03 — the Compact Series uses its own integrated 4.5 gal bath and can't be upper-decked.

About the BFT-67.
Do I need a BFT-67?+
Not unless you're scaling. The 17 gal bath on a BEF-04 or larger takes up to 4 pumps, one per fermenter. Step to a BFT-67 when: (1) you want more than 4 fermenters at separate temperatures, (2) you run several fermenters back-to-back and want more thermal mass, or (3) you want two chillers on one reservoir.
How many pumps should I order?+
Match pump count to independent fermenter zones, not fermenter count. If two fermenters always run the same temp profile, they can share one pump and a manifold. If they need different temps independently (one fermenting, one cold-crashing), each needs its own pump. Most commercial cellars order one pump per fermenter to keep zones decoupled. You can also add pumps later — the BFT-67 ships with mounting holes for all 10.
Which chiller should I pair it with?+
By BTU load, sized for your peak demand (worst case: several fermenters crashing at once). Use the sizing calculator, or send us your fermenter count and sizes and we'll recommend one.
Can I run two chillers on one BFT-67?+
Yes. The BFT-67 takes two chiller decks, for a backup or more capacity. Examples: two BEF-100s, a BEF-300 + BEF-100 (36,679 BTU/hr combined), or the BEF-800 (BEF-300 + BEF-500) and BEF-1000 (two BEF-500s).
What's the install look like?+
The BFT-67 ships as three components: the insulated bath, the pump deck (drilled for your selected pump count), and any chiller upperdecks. Assembly is bolt-together — typically half a day on-site with a brewery contractor. The pumps run on 120V NEMA 5-15 outlets (one per pump); the chiller(s) run on whatever voltage they spec (120V or 220V). Your contractor handles the glycol manifold + insulated trunk to fermenters separately.
How much glycol fluid?+
For a BFT-67 setup, plan on ~20 gallons of pre-mixed propylene (at 30% propylene to water) — that's 67 gal bath × 30% propylene = ~20 gal of propylene, plus your fermenter jackets, coils, and trunk lines. Ask us for a fluid-volume calculation for your setup.
Lead time & shipping?+
4–6 weeks from order — the BFT-67 is made-to-order with your selected pump count and chiller mount drilled. Sh
