Shipping is one of those things nobody likes to pay for — but when you think about it, it’s pretty remarkable that we can ship a piece of precision brewing equipment across the continent and have it arrive at your door within days. At Bräu Supply, we do everything we can to keep shipping affordable, reliable, and transparent. We never add markup to shipping and continually review carrier rates to ensure the best combination of price and service.
For all small packages — typically items up to 50 kg / 110 lb — we ship using UPS or Purolator, depending on destination and rate. Most small orders ship within 48 hours, and typical delivery times range from:
Shipping rates are carrier-calculated in real time from our accounts. The rate you see at checkout reflects our actual discounted carrier cost — no markup and no hidden handling fees. In most cases, shipping for smaller items will range between $10 – $50 USD, depending on weight and location.
If you need rush service, contact us and we’ll do our best to accommodate; please note that express options can cost 2–3 × more than standard ground service. We do not use postal service shipments since we want all packages to include tracking and full delivery confirmation.
If you don’t receive your tracking number within a few days of ordering, please check your spam folder. If it’s not there, reach out to us at info@brausupply.com and we’ll resend it.
For large orders weighing more than 50 kg / 110 lb — including most brewing systems, kettles, and fermenters — we ship via freight (LTL) using trusted carriers that specialize in delicate and high-value equipment. Freight is the safest and most cost-effective way to move large brewing systems.
Delivery times typically range from 4 – 12 days throughout Canada and the U.S., depending on distance and routing. Freight shipments are curbside deliveries unless otherwise arranged.
If your destination has a loading dock or forklift, please let us know when placing your order — this usually saves $50 – $100 compared to lift-gate service. For residential or rural deliveries, carriers generally add a $100 – $150 surcharge, so if you have a business or friend’s location that can receive freight, we recommend shipping there to save on costs.
When your freight ships, we’ll email you a photo of your packaged order for reference. Use this photo to inspect your delivery — if any damage or shortages are visible, note them in writing on the Bill of Lading before signing. This step is critical for insurance coverage, as carriers rely on a clean signature as proof of safe delivery.
Freight tracking may take a few days to activate, especially if multiple carrier partners are involved. If you haven’t received tracking within 4 days of receiving your shipment photo, please contact us.
We regularly ship throughout Canada and the U.S. and handle all customs paperwork directly. Orders shipped to the U.S. are delivered prepaid for all border-related fees, so you won’t see surprise brokerage invoices from carriers. Your state may assess sales or use tax on delivery or require you to self-report; this varies by jurisdiction.
For international orders outside North America, we typically deliver to a Container Freight Station (CFS) at the nearest major port. Transit time to port averages 4 – 6 weeks once shipped. Please contact us for details or assistance with freight-forwarding arrangements.
We understand that construction or setup delays sometimes mean you’re not ready to receive your order when it’s ready to ship. We’re happy to hold your order for up to two weeks beyond the planned ship date at no charge. After that, storage fees of 0.5% of the order value per day may apply.
All shipments include tracking and insurance. If your order is delayed, lost, or shows no scan activity for more than 10 business days, contact us immediately so we can investigate with the carrier and file a claim if necessary.
While warranty coverage applies to all customers worldwide, please note that for customers outside Canada and the continental U.S., shipping costs for warranty parts or replacements are the customer’s responsibility.
